Math reflection I chose bits and pieces 1 because it was my favorite book of math to learn about. I really enjoyed this book because there were many interesting things in this book. My favorite topics in math are fractions, decimals and percents and that is what the book is all about. I learned a lot of math in this unit. I learned some things like fractions into decimals and decimals into percents. I also learned many things about fractions. This unit was an easy unit to understand. I learned that fractions are out of 100 and 40 is equal to 40% when out of 100, if 40 was out of 200 it would be equal to 20% this is just an example for the things I learned in this unit. I learned about comparing fractions and equivalent fractions. The concepts in this unit will impact my life in many ways. For example if I went shopping to buy clothes and the store had a sale going on, everything would be 50% off its original price. The math I used in this unit would help me to find out what the final cost of that item would be. There were several things in this book that will later on in my life help me. The investigation I liked the most in this book was fundraising fractions. This investigation was about comparing and money made each day and which group had more money raised on each day. I liked this investigation the best because I liked comparing and figuring out percents for each amount of money that the fundraiser had raised.
